This being my second log I want to give further information before discussion the main subject at hand: These logs will mostly be simple and to the point. They will be occasional logs and not daily like my main work unless circumstances calls for it. My number 1 focus remains my primary archive of logs discussing the surveillance of my sectors as a whole. Everything relating to this Phoslyte is merely a supplement to my primary body of work. I will only write down data in this archive if I deem the events important or my superiors expressly ask me to do so.

---

This Phoslyte has been put under my surveillance and protection because he crash-landed in one of my sectors, this is not some type of adaptation test or anything of the sort. He was not sent here for me to chaperon nor did he chose to be here. Phoslytes in general have a negative view of human and especially Americans, so they avoid this side of the globe entirely. The phoslyte just happened to land here and I will help him getting him on his way.

I have yet to find the cause of his ship’s crashing but the brief diagnostic I ran yesterday showed that the ship is still livable, it simply cannot fly. I will be tethering it with my own ship to temporarily relocate it to a more discrete spot and then perform a more in-depth examination. Said thorough examination will most likely be in my next log or the one right after.

There is an abandoned town not too far away where the phoslyte could hide in for a few days until we comes to a decision as to where he will be going once his ship is repaired. He mentioned wanting to fly to Europe where he planned to land once his ship is capable of doing-so but I hold strong reservations about this. He’s clearly too naive and inexperienced to survive on his own, even in a friendlier environment like a european forest.
